Do you want to do something different for your Stag do?
Combine excitement, camaraderie and a great weekend and go sailing for your Stag do. You can spend the weekend relaxing, eating and drinking and sailing the yacht, Bella. From complete novices to the most experienced sailors, our Stag Sailing has it covered. No sailing experience is needed for this kind of charter, but a desire to help sail the yacht will enhance your enjoyment. We want you to have a good time and lots of fun.
Our experienced skipper will guide you through the basic techniques and everyone can enjoy as much hands on experience as they like.
Bella is a luxurious and comfortable ocean yacht based at the Lymington Yacht Haven on the south coast. Lymington is a great place to start your stag weekend. Arrive at the marina on Friday evening, get settled on board and then enjoy a meal in the town.
After a night on board and breakfast, spend Saturday sailing in the Solent. The route taken depends on wind, tides and the condition of the crew. There are plenty of bays to anchor in for lunch on either side of the Solent or lunch can be taken on the move. For the evening we can sail to Cowes, a favourite location for yachtsmen with plenty of restaurants and clubs, and a popular spot for stag nights (even the Royals go there!). Or we can head to Gunwharf Keys in Portsmouth if you fancy a night on the town. Enjoy a relaxing drink on board as the sun goes down before heading out for your celebration.
On Sunday, after breakfast for those who fancy it, we have a relaxed day sailing before heading back to Lymington. Typically the day ends between 4 and 5 pm giving you plenty of time to travel home.
We can help you plan your itinerary to make sure that you get the most out of your stag sailing weekend, by visiting some memorable places, anchorages and pubs. We can advise you on the best places to eat and tailor an itinerary to suit you and your group. Just let us know what you would like. Subject to availability shore side accommodation can be arranged in Cowes and Lymington. We will also be delighted to arrange restaurants in advance.
Our experienced skippers know these waters and venues ashore really well and their knowledge means that you will have the experience of a lifetime. The skipper takes complete responsibility for the safety of the yacht and those aboard her. The weekend’s sailing will start with a safety briefing and a demonstration of the boat’s equipment aboard. Sailing is a hands-on activity and you will be an integral part of sailing Bella. This includes setting and trimming the sails and taking the helm; you can also try your hand at the navigation/pilotage. All the crew are able to participate in the sailing of the yacht. And if you don’t fancy joining in you can sit back and observe the action. And if you are looking to add a little more nautical excitement to your event, we are able to arrange high speed ribs to be available.
We are completely flexible on the period of the booking. Some people may wish to day sail, others take a weekend or even a 4 to 5-day midweek break.
